Following the success of our photo competitions in 2007 and 2008 we will be running another photo competition this year. Once again the chance to win £200 in cash is being offered for the best shot of our field. From the beginning of June we will be accepting entries which should be sent to our email address photo2009@mayfieldlavender.com . All finalists will be shown on our photo gallery listed on the top of the website and our winner will be announced at the end of season.

Rosemary Beetle
Once again this year we will looking for volunteers to help in our lavender-eating Rosemary Beetle Busting Campaign. This pretty and docile beetle which is the size and shape of a ladybird but metallic green with a red stripe is lavender’s only pest. Any beetle hunters, young and old are welcome to come and help. And there’s a reward too! Just check the website for opening hours before leaving.
