As usual time seems to have flown by and we are again looking at the start of another Lavender Season. This will be our 13th year and our 9th Season open to the public. It’s hard to remember that we started out with our lavender as little plants that we were selling from the back of our VW camper!
We have just completed preparing the public areas for this year and we will start our intensive hand weeding programme in a couple of weeks to prepare the field for the blossoms. This year we are adding a few more interesting treats to our cafe and shop so we hope you will come to see us again.
Mayfield Lavender Farm officially reopens to the public on May 30th and from then you can visit us between 10am and 6pm, seven days a week.
Pedestrian and car entry costs just £1 per person, which goes towards the upkeep of the lavender. Children 16 and under go free.
We have spent the last few months working our our Plant Nursery and Gift shop in Epsom and it’s looking great now. All of our lavender products, including our certified organic lavender oil, range of toiletries and room fragrance products are also available from here.
The glasshouses are full of lavender ready for planting and we have a great selection of lavenders to choose from. We are just in the process of planting lavender on our land and we are hoping to open our 12 acre site to the public next year – we are currently working on developing a path through the land so that the view back over London can be enjoyed.
