The information below will help you plan your visit and ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience while helping us protect our beautiful working farm.

By purchasing a ticket and entering the farm, you agree to these Visitor Terms & Conditions.

Admission

• Admission tickets are valid for one visit on any open day during the current lavender season.
• The farm is open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm, with last entry at 5:15pm.
• Visitors arriving after 5:15pm may be refused entry.
• Visitors arriving shortly before last entry may not have sufficient time to enjoy the farm before closing. Admission cannot be extended beyond the advertised closing time.
• Visitors are kindly asked to respect our advertised opening hours. Our team work hard throughout the season to ensure everyone has an enjoyable visit, and admission cannot be extended beyond our published closing time.
• We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask visitors to leave if their behaviour is considered unsafe, abusive, disruptive, or likely to damage the farm or affect the enjoyment of other visitors.

Respect Our Farm

Mayfield Lavender is a working farm, and our lavender plants have been lovingly cared for for over 20 years.

As a family-run business, we take great pride in caring for our lavender fields throughout the year. We kindly ask all our visitors to help us look after this special place by treating the farm with care and following the guidelines below, so it can be enjoyed for many seasons to come.

Please help us protect the farm by:

• Staying on designated pathways wherever possible.
• Treating the farm with the same care and respect you would your own garden.

Visitors must not:

• Pick lavender, flowers, or any other plants.
• Walk, jump, sit, or lie on the lavender plants.
• Climb on fences, gates, displays, tractors, hay bales, or any farm equipment.
• Enter restricted areas.
• Bring picnics onto the farm.
• Litter. Please use the bins provided throughout the farm.
• Fly drones without prior written permission.

Visitors who deliberately damage the farm or fail to follow these rules may be asked to leave without refund.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times.

Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs and disposing of waste responsibly in the bins provided.

Photography & Filming

Photography for personal, non-commercial use is welcome.

Any commercial or professional photography, including client shoots, portfolio sessions, workshops, brand photography, influencer content, product photography, or photography undertaken for financial gain or business purposes, requires a valid Photography Pass, which must be purchased before your visit.

Mayfield Lavender reserves the right to approach any visitor believed to be undertaking commercial photography without the appropriate pass. Failure to purchase a Photography Pass before commencing a commercial shoot may result in the photographer being required to purchase the correct pass before continuing. An additional administration charge may also be applied.

Drone photography or filming is strictly prohibited unless prior written permission has been granted by Mayfield Lavender.

From time to time, Mayfield Lavender may take photographs or video footage for marketing, promotional, and social media purposes. By entering the farm, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in this material. If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please speak to a member of staff upon arrival.

Commercial Activity

Commercial activity of any kind is not permitted without the prior written permission of Mayfield Lavender.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Professional photography
• Videography
• Workshops
• Guided tours
• Fitness classes
• Promotional events
• Product photography
• Influencer or brand content creation
• Any other activity undertaken for financial gain or business purposes

Anyone found undertaking unauthorised commercial activity may be asked to stop immediately, purchase the appropriate Photography Pass or permit where applicable, or leave the farm without refund. An additional administration charge may also be applied where appropriate.

Food & Drink

• Picnics are not permitted anywhere on the farm.
• Food and drink purchased from Mayfield Lavender may be enjoyed in the designated seating areas.
• Please dispose of all rubbish responsibly using the bins provided throughout the farm.

Car Parking

Free on-site parking is available; however, spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed.

If our car park is full, visitors may need to use nearby public car parks, which may charge for parking. Mayfield Lavender accepts no responsibility for parking charges incurred elsewhere.

Footwear & Safety

Mayfield Lavender is a working farm, and paths may be uneven, muddy, or slippery depending on weather conditions.

We strongly recommend wearing suitable, supportive footwear such as trainers or wellington boots.

Visitors who choose to wear unsuitable footwear do so at their own risk. Mayfield Lavender accepts no responsibility for accidents or injuries resulting from inappropriate footwear or from the naturally uneven terrain found across the farm.

As a flowering farm, bees and other pollinating insects are naturally present throughout the season. Visitors with known allergies should take appropriate precautions and carry any necessary medication.

Children must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.

Accessibility

We are committed to making Mayfield Lavender as accessible as possible.

Facilities include:

• A limited number of accessible parking spaces.
• An accessible toilet.
• Ramp access on and off our Looby-Loo train.

As a working farm situated within Green Belt land, planning restrictions limit the permanent structures and alterations we are able to make. Whilst we continually look for ways to improve accessibility, some areas of the farm remain naturally uneven and may not be suitable for all mobility requirements.

Portable toilets are provided on-site due to planning restrictions that prevent permanent toilet facilities from being installed throughout the farm.

Wildlife & Environment

Please respect the wildlife, bees, and natural environment during your visit.

Visitors must not remove or disturb any plants, flowers, wildlife, or other natural features found on the farm.

Open flames, including disposable barbecues, fire pits, Chinese lanterns, and fireworks, are strictly prohibited anywhere on the farm.

Visitor Conduct

We want everyone to enjoy their visit. Visitors are expected to behave respectfully towards our staff, volunteers, other visitors, animals, and the farm itself.

Visitors must comply with all reasonable instructions given by Mayfield Lavender staff whilst on the premises.

Abusive, threatening, aggressive, or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in visitors being asked to leave without refund.

Weather & Farm Operations

Mayfield Lavender is an outdoor attraction, and the safety of our visitors and staff is our priority.

The appearance of the lavender varies naturally throughout the flowering season. As a living crop, colour, height, and flowering cannot be guaranteed, and variations in bloom are not grounds for a refund or exchange.

In the event of extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances, Mayfield Lavender reserves the right to close the farm, suspend activities, alter opening hours, or cancel admissions without prior notice.

Personal Property

Visitors are responsible for their own personal belongings. Mayfield Lavender accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property whilst on the premises.

Liability

Visitors enter the farm at their own risk.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Events Beyond Our Control

Mayfield Lavender shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, extreme weather, flooding, fire, disease outbreaks, government restrictions, power failures, road closures, industrial disputes, or any other unforeseen event affecting the safe operation of the farm.

In such circumstances, Mayfield Lavender reserves the right to close the farm, suspend activities, alter opening hours, or cancel admissions without prior notice. Mayfield Lavender shall not be responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other consequential costs incurred by visitors.

Changes to These Terms

Mayfield Lavender reserves the right to amend these Visitor Terms & Conditions, admission arrangements, opening hours, prices, and operating procedures where reasonably necessary.
